(John 3:16)
We as members of Kings Ransom Ministries, Inc. believe and have faith in the powerful name of Jesus. We believe in the ministry and miracles of Jesus. We believe that all things are possible through the name of Jesus. We believe and have faith in Matthew 18:19-20 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by my father in heaven for where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them.”
We as members of King’s Ransom Ministries acknowledge the mission set before us by our Lord Jesus Christ to evangelize and spread God’s word to all those that will allow us to do so. We want to be obedient and let God direct us into the byways and highways, different styles of music and instruments, but all recognize the importance of music in spiritual practice.
We do not consider ourselves entertainers but “Ministers” to be used by the power of the Holy Spirit to provide Spiritual support to the down and heavy laden. Every member is dedicated and understands the importance and conviction of our Ministry in this Gospel Group. We desire in our hearts is to serve our Lord Jesus Christ first, then to minister through our musical talents. Our music is a witness and up-lifts our commitment to serve wholeheartedly and to praise and worship our Lord whether in a small or large group.
God has blessed us with song and evangelism. God continues to allow us the privilege of using our gifts through television and church concerts.

If you haven’t accepted Jesus as your savior, you can do so by saying and believing in this prayer of salvation.
Dear Lord,
I admit that I am a sinner. Jesus died on the cross for my sins.
On the third day Jesus rose from the grave and is setting at the right hand of God. I believe that Jesus died for me to set me free from my sins. I ask Jesus to forgive me. I come to you, Jesus, now and ask that you take control of my life, I give my heart, soul and life to you. I accept Jesus as my Savior. From now and this day forward I will live my life for Jesus. I love you, Jesus, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you.
"In JESUS name Amen"

"King’s Ransom Ministries, Inc.”
King’s Ransom Ministries was founded in April 1994, and became a 501-C-3 tax exempt corporation in 1998. King’s Ransom Ministries was founded by Gary Stephenson and Julio Trevino. Gary and Julio both met in a class at Texas Technological University in 1993. Both had a desire to play and minister through country gospel music.
Gary’s heart’s desire begins at the age of five years old when he wanted to study and play the steel guitar. His father didn’t want him playing steel guitar because he didn’t want Gary playing in the bars and nightclubs. His father bought and Gary played drums professionally from the age fifteen through forty. At fifteen years old Gary started playing with professional bands. Gary continued playing in the bars and Honky-tonks until the Lord delivered him from the secular world. Since his delivery Gary has obtained his Ministers Ordination, Doctoral, PhD in Psychology and Christian Counseling, LCDC, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, CCPC, Certified Clinical Pastoral Counselor. Gary attended Texas Tech University and received his Doctoral degree from the Louisiana Baptist University, Shreveport, La. Also, as an added bonus.......Gary learned to play and master the steel guitar. Gary retired after 12 years in a Federal Corrections facility as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Alternatives to Addiction Instructor, and Assistant Chaplain. Gary was also also a professor at Wayland Baptist University, Lubbock Texas .
Gary’s wife Liz has her Doctor of Divinity and ordained ministter. Liz was a Registered Nurse and also a Certified Oncology Nurse for 35 years. Liz owned Endless Love Wedding Stop and Chapel, Lubbock, Texas from 1999 to 2014. Liz sold Endless Love and retired in 2014. Liz retired and continues to do “Alterations By Liz” and is terrific at what she does as a seamstress. Liz alters wedding gowns, quinceanera gowns, prom, pageant, evening gowns, other dresses, men’s pants and trousers, etc. Liz also does alterations on formal wear and makes custom made veils. She has compassion to help people to prepare and make their special occasion a joyous one. Liz was a Registered Nurse and was a member of the ONS Local and National Chapters. Liz is also a licensed Ordained Minister.
One of the things that Liz provided in her Bridal Shop "Endless Love". Liz had four ministers to do weddings. Weddings were done about every week. At one time Gary was the only minister, he was performing sometimes two (2) weddingss a week. Liz hired other ministers to help with performing weddings. All in all God had blessed Liz's bridal shop "Endless love" and our ministery " Kings Ransom Ministries, Inc.
Liz leads an intercessory prayer group on Sunday evenings. Also, Gary and Liz host a Bible study in their home on Wednesday nights. They have six children combined. Gary, Kelly, Stacy, Melissa, Dan, and Chrystal.
We were on a local radio station for 4 years. It sold to another network in Wisconsin and closed KJAK radio on us.
Before the covid epidemic hit, Gary and Liz were going to Assisted Living homes and doing services of singing the good ole Gospel Songs that most people were raised on. For instance, The Old Rugged Cross, I've Got A Mansion, Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art are just some of the songs we sang and still sing to the clients. We do preaching on "God's HOLY Word." Since covid we have been doing services at "Lakeridge Nursing Home and rehabilation" in Lubbock Texas. Before covid hit we were doing services for Bethany Nursing Home, Callender House in Wolforth, Callender House South on Frankford, and the Callender House called Phoenix. Also, we did services at "Rosewood Assisted Living" Lubbock, Texas. All of the Assisted Living places we did were all in Lubbock, Texas except the one in Wolforth, Texas. Before covid we were doing an assisted living service somewhere once or twice a week. Our group of Kings Ransom Singers and Musicians are myself, Gary leader, singer and Guitar, Liz singer and spokesperson, Gloria Hamlin keyboards and singer. We also did singing and worship at World Harvest Church Lubbock, Texas. We attend church at Faith Temple church also called "Annointed Word Family Church."
The covid shut us down from going and doing services. To keep our ministry going Gary developed a recording studio in our home. We started doing videos and putting them on You Tube. We as Kings Ransom Ministries, INC formated and produced our own videos. Further down in this website you will be able to view and watch our videos. Our videos consisted of approximately (eighty-nine) 89 videos. The vides cover from the beginning of time, birth of Moses, Birth of Jesus, The Apostles, Jesus Walked on Water, Noah and his Ark, Adam and Eve, and so on.
Gary has published a book, "Counseling With-in The Walls" which is about life with-in a prison versus the life of people who are outside of prison who live in their own self-made prison. Prisoners inside the facility wear blue, red, or brown scrub uniforms. People on the outside, who are self-made prisoners, wear regular civilian clothes. You can view this book "Counseling With-in The Walls" at Amazon.com.
Counseling With-in the Walls is about people who are in prison for murder, robbery, trafficking, and conspiracy. It is also about people with depression, sickness and addictions. The prison walls may be real or self-erected. Gary shares his personal life experiences from the honky-tonk scene thru all the steps that led him to his Doctoral degree in psychology and Christian counseling. You'll have a first hand look at Christian Counseling versus secular Counseling. This book covers cults, Religions, satanic worship, grace and obedience. Gary's experience as a drug and alcohol abuse counselor in a federal prison has given him great insight inside the prison walls where people live.
The book can be ordered on line Amazon, or Barnes and Noble.
The Twelve Steps were designed to be a salvation message. Also, The Twelve Steps were designed as a spiritual guide to recognize God as being the only Natural God. People were and still are using their addiction to be their supreme being. The Twelve Steps are used by different organizations to rid their clients of eating disorders, weight loss, etc. The Bible is God’s own words for salvation and getting rid of addictions.
1. We admitted we were powerless over alcohol ... that our lives had become unmanageable. "I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out." (Romans 7:18)
2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity. "... my grace is sufficient for you, for my POWER is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9)
..for it is God Who works in you to will and act according to His good purpose.. (Phil. 2:13)
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of GOD as we understood Him. "... If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." (Luke 9:23)
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves. "Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord." (Lamentations 3:40)
5. Admitted to GOD, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs. "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed." (James 5:16)
6. Were entirely ready to have GOD remove all these defects of character. "If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land." (Isaiah 1:19)
7. Humbly asked Him to remove all our shortcomings. "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up." (James 4:10)
8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all. "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift." (Matthew 5:23, 24)
9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others. Give and it shall be given you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." (Luke 6:38)
10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it. "For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith GOD has given you." (Romans 12:3)
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with GOD as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will, and the power to carry that out. "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer." (Psalm 19:14)
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly..." (Col. 3:16)
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to alcoholics, and practice these principles in all our affairs. "Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:1-2)
Gary and Liz have been to Israel twice, once in 1996 and again in 2023. Went on the Alaskan Cruise 2021, The Ark in Williamstown, KY, and Creation Museum, goes often to Branson, attends TSGA in Dallas every year. Later in this web site you will see pictures of their travels.
